[NJHEPS-news] Environmental Career Fair

 All New Jersey and area students  are invited to register and attend the
Environmental Career Fair to be held at the Innovative Environmental
Technology Conference (IETC 2007) co-sponsored by the E nvironmental   B
usiness C ouncil of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey  and
New Jersey Institute of Technology. I am pleased to provide the following
information.  Attached is a flyer with more details .
 
 Currently 40 companies or organizations such as NJ DEP will be
participating in the Career Fair.  The leadership of the industrial
organizations--both the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey and
the Environmental Business Council of New Jersey have repeatedly  indicated
that they cannot find enough qualified people to fill the jobs that they
have.  As a result they are eager to talk to  New Jersey and regional
students who are interested in potentially working with them.
 
Backgrounds of interest include Environmental Engineering, Environmental
Science, and Environmental Policy as you might expect.  But they are also
eager to talk with students with backgrounds in chemical engineering,
chemistry, biology, civil engineering, physics, infrastructure and urban
planning, sustainable design, technical writing, and related areas.  They
are interested in talking with bachelor level students and graduate
students.  They are interested in talking with students who will soon be in
the job market and those who may be more than a year away.
 
They are also interested in talking with students who are currently
interested in internships or co-op opportunities.
 
If you have an interest and an appropriate background, you are encouraged to
attend.
